In a predominantly technology established generation, remaining physically active is a downfall not only adults lack, but worse our children struggle to participate in.
These are shaping the next round of society which is why AfterDark Technology wanted to put the two hand in hand. The girls of the Under 13s Moreton Bay Jets NPL soccer team are making waves with their positive mindset and ‘can-do’ attitude, these passionate young women refuse to let anything diminish their ambitions of winning. Arduously training three times a week, their sheer dedication and lively spirits made the prospect of sponsoring them a no-brainer for the team here at AfterDark Technology.
AfterDark Technology team member (and father to the under 13’s team member Lauren), Anthony Jackson was enthusiastic about this sponsorship opportunity stating, “AfterDark already has a strong link to football through our own staff, so when the opportunity presented itself to sponsor an elite team of young girls who were selected to play in the NPL, we jumped at the chance. The timing of the sponsorship coincided with the brilliant success of the Matildas in achieving their goal of playing at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, The Matildas are the pinnacle of women’s football in Australia. Due to the lack of sponsorship and funding, what the Matildas achieved is all the more remarkable.”
At the season launch, our Technical Director, Stephen Gibson, and Senior Executive Anthony Jackson, visited the team to present the team with their new jerseys. Stepping out in style in their fresh designs we wish the Moreton Bay Jets all the best luck for the 2016 season, and look forward to the continued community involvement AfterDark Technology will be participating in in the future.
